Programs Manager

Full-time, $52,000–$55,000 annually. Hybrid preferred for local candidates, with a minimum of two days a week in the office to start; remote applicants are welcome to apply. Reports to the Executive Director. Based at PLA's office in Beaverton, Oregon.

Position Summary

Pure Life Alliance (PLA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting men and women affected by problematic sexual behaviors and sexual betrayal, is seeking an organized, relational, and detail-oriented Programs Manager to lead the day-to-day operation and development of PLA programs.

The Programs Manager will oversee participant systems, mentoring, group leadership, volunteer development, program communication, program growth, and ongoing improvement.

During approximately the first six months, the Programs Manager will work closely with the Executive Director to learn PLA's programs, culture, systems, and relationships. Responsibility will gradually transition during this period, with the Programs Manager taking primary ownership of program operations.

As a small organization, some responsibilities will naturally overlap. The Programs Manager will focus primarily on programs, while the Executive Director will focus primarily on outreach, church engagement, donor development, fundraising, and organizational marketing

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of PLA programs and ensure established systems, processes, and follow-up remain effective.

  • Maintain accurate participant, leader, mentor, and program information across Planning Center, Communities, GoHighLevel, and other PLA systems.

  • Oversee participant onboarding, payments, scholarships, cancellations, transfers, mentoring workflows, and related participant support.

  • Build, support, train, and develop group coordinators, interns, mentors, and other program volunteers.

  • Maintain regular communication with program leaders and provide support when participant, leadership, mentoring, or group concerns arise.

  • Identify and develop future leaders and help existing groups prepare for growth and multiplication.

  • Lead efforts to expand PLA programs into new churches and locations, working with the Executive Director when broader church relationships or partnerships are involved.

  • Own program-related communication with leaders, mentors, and participants, and collaborate with the Executive Director on PLA's monthly newsletter and other organizational communication.

  • Collect and review participant and leader feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend changes to program systems, resources, and processes.

  • Support fundraising and marketing efforts by providing program stories, testimonials, outcomes, and information, while leading marketing efforts specifically focused on increasing participation in PLA programs.

Qualifications

Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.

  • Strong comfort with technology and the ability to learn, troubleshoot, and improve online systems and automated workflows.

  • Experience recruiting, training, developing, or supporting volunteers

  • Ability to lead independently, identify problems, recommend solutions, and collaborate effectively with staff and volunteer leadership.

Preferred

  • Experience serving individuals or families affected by addiction, trauma, sexual betrayal, problematic sexual behaviors, or related concerns.

  • Experience developing or managing virtual programs or online communities.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, automated workflows, audience engagement, or marketing.

  • Experience developing written communication, training materials, or program resources.

Position Details

This position is based at PLA's office at 1500 NW 167th Place, Beaverton, OR 97006. Candidates within commuting distance of the Portland metro area should expect a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of two days per week in the office to start. Depending on the role's needs, in-office time may increase over time.

Remote applicants outside the area are welcome to apply. Some ability to travel to the office periodically for team collaboration, events, and training will be part of the conversation during the interview process.

The core schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Pacific), with some evening meetings and occasional weekend events or trainings.
